Portraits

We live in the age of the selfie but for many people having their photo formally taken is their greatest nightmare. Stressed and unhappy people make bad subjects, which leads to bad photos, which leads to further stress about being in front of the camera. It’s a vicious cycle!

Having your photo taken at home means you’re already in an environment where you feel relaxed. A much better starting point than a strange studio environment. Sharing the photos as we go, and welcoming your input means that the process stops being something that is being done to you and starts being something you are part of. It’s your image after all.

My at home portrait sessions start at $350. This includes travel to and from your house (within greater Hobart), a two hour shoot, digital capture fee, basic editing, all images from the shoot as low res files suitable for social media, 10 images as high res files suitable for printing in both black and white and colour, and 1 printed 5x7 image.

Having photos taken with Sophie was akin to hanging out with an old friend, easy, relaxed and fun. She had a vision and this came through in the results, which are now front and centre on my business website. As someone who really doesn’t enjoy being in front of the camera, Sophie is exceptional at making you feel relaxed. Her skills lie in building rapport and capturing people’s spirit in the moment, resulting in natural, fun and engaging images that highlight the connection between her and her subjects and her creative vision.
