Have you been thinking about having family photos taken but the idea of dragging everyone into a studio fills you with dread? Having photos taken in your own home is so much more relaxed!

If you’re interested drop me a line and we’ll organise a time for me to come for a visit. This gives you a chance to get a sense of who I am and me a chance to have a look at the spaces and light that would be available if you choose to go ahead. It’s also a great opportunity to discuss any questions you may have. For example do you have teenage children who refuse to smile in photos? What should people wear? Do you have a family pet you would like include? Perhaps there’s a family members with special needs that we need to factor in?

This pre-shoot meeting takes 30-45 minutes and is entirely free. But I don’t expect you to make a decision while I am standing in your living room! Have a think, chat to your partner and kids, then let me know. If you decide for whatever reason that you won’t go ahead we shake hands and say farewell, no hard feelings. If you decide that you would like to hire me then we consult our diaries to find a mutually convenient time. A payment of 50% will be required within the week to secure the booking and the further 50% upon delivery of the files.

My starting rate for a family shoot is $400. This includes travel to and from your house (within greater Hobart), a one hour shoot, digital capture fee, all images from the shoot as low res files suitable for social media, 15 images as high res files in both black and white and colour and 3 images of your choice printed as 8x10 prints. If you have younger children and know that getting them to keep still for a posed photo will be tricky, no worries. I’m happy to work with you on more casual shots in the home spaces of your choice.
